Graduated from College just in time for Viet Nam. The Army, of course, decided my background would be better used in the Signal Corp as Commander of the European Pictorial Ctr (HQ.USAEUR & Seventh Army for you military folks) which was, in fact, the greatest assignment in the Army. Much travel utilizing your tax dollars (highly recommend Paris, Berlin, Copenhagen). Returned to CONUS (military folks again) as a Captain after 4 years although the VFW does not recognize my service.

Ran up to 116th & Broadway just in time to begin Masters work at Columbia, "theoretically" paid for by the Army. Another surprise - I graduated on time. Wall Street called but soon learned there are better things to do with your life.

Biggest event: Named Varsity Cinematographer (it was called motion picture photographer back then) by Joe Sikorski for Football and Basketball. After viewing clips on this website not so sure I want comments but, after all, it was 1961 and we did use actual 16mm film back then. William Tell Overture and Toccata and Fugue in D Minor was nice too.

Funny memory: actually got into college

I live "just down the road" from where Mr. & Mrs. Hal Kenney enjoyed retirement and now rest in the shadows of the"... Granite of New Hampshire".
I'm often asked why retire to cold New Hampshire and my response is always the same: if it was good enough for the Kenney's it is good enough for me (see "funny memory in School Story, above.")

Between the proximity to Alma Mater, as well as the Lakes and Mountains I am never at a loss for something to do up here. Still visit New Canaan when grandchildren are in residence.
